Guangzhou Five Goat Watch Company
Guangzhou Five Goat Watch Company (also known as Guangzhou Wuyang Watch Company is a watch manufacturer located in Guangzhou , Guangdong province . It evolved out of the state-owned Guangzhou Watch Factory, which opened in 1958. As Guangzhou Watch Factory, it produced watches under several brands, including Dixmont , Guangzhou , Hongmian , Mingzhu and Yangcheng , at first using its own in-house movements (most notably the SG3 ) and later moving to the Chinese Standard Movement . Today, only the Dixmont and Guangzhou brands are still in production.

- Opened in 1958 (as Guangzhou Watch Factory)
- Producing mechanical alarm clocks by 1959
- Produced first 500 watches containing the SG3 movement in a trial run in 1961
- In 1965, the clock-making arm of the company was moved to a different location and, since then, Guangzhou Watch factory has been solely a watch building operation
- Proximity to Hong Kong, a major quartz movement supplier, made it particularly susceptible to the challenges the Chinese watch industry faced in the 1980s and 1990s. It survived and eventually thrived by producing low-cost automatic movements.
- In 2011, became Guangzhou Wuyang Watch Co. Ltd.
- New company is a joint venture between Shenzhen Municipal of Seti Trade Development Co., Ltd, and China Haidian Group/Rossini, with 78% of the company owned by Haidian/Rossini
- Roughly 95% of revenue from movements and components (including tourbillons), 5% from whole watches
- Over $10,000,000 after tax profit and 800 employees in 2012
- Planning to move to a new state-of-the-art facility in next few years
