Chinese Watch Wiki:About

This wiki was started around April 2008 as the "Chinese Watch Industry Wiki". In late 2013 or early 2014 problems developed with the original host and the administrator could not be contacted, so in October 2014 the wiki was restored on a new host and renamed "Chinese Watch Wiki". Without access to the database of the original wiki installation, old articles had to be copied and pasted from archive.org. The "History" pages of the current wiki suggest that most of the articles were written by a single user in a few days, but this is most definitely not true. The starting point of the current wiki was the end result of years of contributions from many users. Unfortunately, the precise details of who contributed what are lost to history.
